Former Glasgow golfer Abbie Lee finished tied for 22nd in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate last week. She shot one over par through three rounds. The tournament featured 16 golfers that shot under par for the tournament.
Lee’s round was the lowest among her teammates at Middle Tennessee University. The Blue Raiders finished 12th with a team score of 880.
Lee was the lowest Blue Raider for the first time during the fall campaign, with two rounds below par in Colorado. She shot three birdies on the front nine with no bogeys and another birdie on hole 18 to finish at 71 (-1) on the final day.
She and Nicole Johnson led the team on the final round, both finishing at 217 (+1) overall, T22 individually. Johnson shot a career low, tying for the lowest round by a Blue Raider this season, carding a 69 (-3). Sinking in five birdies and avoiding big numbers, the sophomore finished the tournament strong for her best finish of the season.
UNLV won the team title at 17-under par, while Kansas State was second at 16-under. Isabella McCauley of Minnesota won the individual title with a 14-under par, three-round total of 202.
Lee and her teammates return to action Sunday, Oct. 20, at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville, Tenn.
