TULSA, Okla. – Lady Topper Golf rising senior Catie Craig concluded the second round of stroke play at the 124th U.S. Am in Tulsa Tuesday afternoon.
Duplicating her first round, Craig posted a 5-over 76 in her final stroke play round. The Georgia native put in two birdies on her second and eighth hole and met par nine times during this round.
Craig ended her tournament tied for 77th after posting a 10-over 152 total score, missing the cut of the round of 64 match play.
The Lady Topper had an extremely productive summer representing WKU around the country. Craig along with her sister Caroline made it to the round of 16 match play in the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four Ball Tournament in May. She also finished tied for 23rd in the Sea Island Amateur Tournament in June.
Her summer reached a peak during the end of June where she won the 122nd Women’s North and South Amateur Championship. The win automatically qualified her for the U.S. Amateur Tournament.
Craig returns to the Hill this fall looking to carry that off-season productivity over to the fall season with the Lady Toppers. She will be looking forward to having an outstanding senior season at WKU and build on her record-breaking junior year.
