Abby Varney punctuated her high school basketball career Saturday by helping Kentucky beat Ohio, 103-80, in an all-star game at Thomas More University’s Connor Convocation Center.
The soon-to-be Barren County High School graduate posted 11 points, second behind Claire Johnson’s 26. The Kentucky all-stars finished the game on a 20-0 run to secure the blow-out victory.
Varney, who has not signed to play in college as yet, helped the Trojanettes to a 93-30 record during her four-year career. This past season, head coach Piper Lindsey picked up her 300th career win and 200th win at Barren County.
Varney passed the 1,000 point career mark as well.
